Career and College Financial Assistance Information

At Flint Community Schools, we are committed to providing our scholars exceptional opportunities for their future. We are proud to share pathways to success, including free career certifications and college degrees from graduation until 24 years old.

The programs cover tuition and mandatory fees for in-district scholars, with additional scholarship support available once Pell Grants and other tuition-only scholarships and grants have been applied.

We believe in removing barriers to education and empowering our families and scholars with the knowledge to reach their full potential.

STEP "1"

Free Application for Federal Student Aid

Why You Should Fill Out the FAFSA (Even if You Think Itā€™s a Waste of Time!)

All schools must use the FAFSA as the mandatory application for awarding federal student aid, and in some cases, even merit-based scholarships provided by colleges and universities mandate applicants to submit the FAFSA.

Fill Out the FAFSAĀ® Form

Before each year of college, apply for federal grants, work-study, and loans with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSAĀ®) form. Your college uses your FAFSA data to determine your federal aid eligibility. Many states and colleges use FAFSA data to award their own aid.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSAĀ®) form available as of Dec. 31, 2023.
