National Mental Health Month
May, recognized as Mental Health Awareness Month, serves as an important time to shed light on behavioral health issues and diminish the associated stigma.
It also emphasizes the widespread impact of mental illness, including patients, providers, families, and society as a whole. Schools play a crucial role in promoting the mental health and well-being of both scholars and staff through various initiatives such as education, prevention, and early intervention efforts.
Flint Community Schools offers support and services to scholars facing mental health challenges. Schools can cultivate a sense of safety and contribute to improved academic and behavioral outcomes.

We cordially invite you to join us for a guided tour of the Doyle Ryder Education Center on May 16, 2024, from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
This event offers a fantastic opportunity for you to explore the facility, meet our dedicated staff, and ask any questions you may have regarding your scholar's education journey. During the tour, you will have the chance to familiarize yourself with the layout of the building, learn about the various resources available to scholars, and gain insights into the exciting programs and initiatives planned for the upcoming school year.
We understand the importance of feeling connected and informed as members of the Pierce Elementary family, and we believe that this tour will provide valuable insight into your child's new school environment.
